AI Without
the Fear.
A practical, plain-English workshop helping adults over 50 understand, use, and benefit from artificial intelligence. No jargon, no pressure, just real skills for everyday life.
Delivered in-person · Groups of 4 · Designed for digital inclusion initiatives
The fears are real.
The myths don't have to be.
For millions of adults over 50, AI feels like something built for someone else: fast, complicated, and vaguely threatening. These concerns are valid. But most of what people fear about AI simply isn't true.
"AI will take over and make decisions for me."
AI is a tool, not an authority. You stay in control. It only does what you ask it to do.
"I'm too old to learn this. It's for young people."
AI tools respond to natural language, the way you already think and speak. Life experience is an advantage, not a barrier.
"It's not safe. It'll steal my data or scam me."
Knowing how AI works is the best protection against misuse. This workshop covers exactly what to trust, what to avoid, and how to stay safe.
"I'll break something or do it wrong."
There is no wrong way to start a conversation with AI. The workshop is hands-on, supportive, and completely judgment-free.
"AI is the mark of the beast. It will usher in the end times."
These concerns come from a place of genuine faith and are worth taking seriously. AI is a technology built by people, not a supernatural force. It has no agenda, no consciousness, and no spiritual power. What it does is entirely determined by the humans who design and use it.
"Once I start using AI, I won't know how to stop or get out."
Every AI tool has a simple off switch. You are always in charge of the conversation and can stop, start again or walk away at any point.
Digital exclusion is a national challenge.
The UK Government has identified digital skills as a critical priority for economic inclusion. Yet older adults remain the most underserved group. Not through lack of capability, but through lack of accessible, relevant support.
Technology made simple.
That's the mission.
